Jalen Brunson Gets Honest About Knicks Teammates on Verge of NBA Finals
The New York Knicks are on the verge of making the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999 after a 121-108 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night.
New York holds a commanding 3-0 lead over Cleveland in the Eastern Conference Finals and seems poised to meet either the Oklahoma City Thunder or San Antonio Spurs in the finals. Star point guard Jalen Bruson pointed to the team’s “psychotic” work ethic as the driving force for its success this season.
“We have a bunch of individuals in that locker room who work really hard, and they’re very psychotic about their work and things they do,” Brunson said. “When their number’s called and when it’s time to go, they’re ready. A lot of real professionals on our roster.”

Teammate Josh Hart, averaged a league-leading 37.6 minutes per game last season, was fifth among the Knicks starters this season at 30.2 minutes. As Brunson mentioned, Hart pointed to his work ethic in the offseason to prepare for a deep run into the postseason.
“Obviously, minutes are down, but last year, I felt like I didn’t have much [energy] in terms of getting to this point. I’d never gotten to this point before,” Hart said. “This year, I focused on more nutrition, working on my body more, making sure my body and recovery is good. Obviously, minutes [down] is helping.”
Game 4 between the Cavaliers and Knicks is set for Monday, May 25 at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
