NFL Analysts In Agreement On Browns' Return In Myles Garrett Trade

Myles Garrett's time in Cleveland is done.

The former No. 1 overall pick and NFL Defensive Player of the Year is being shipped out of Cleveland. Garrett, who starred collegiately at Texas A&M, leaves Cleveland as one of the best players in franchise history. He's heading to the Los Angeles Rams, according to reports from multiple NFL insiders.

Garrett joins a team in Los Angeles that has a Super Bowl or bust mindset. The Rams, who brought Matthew Stafford back for 2026, fell just short of a Super Bowl run last season. They'll make another big run at it this season.

Now, they'll have arguably the best defensive player in all of football with them.

But what are the Browns getting back for Garrett?

According to reports, Cleveland is getting:

  • Two-time Pro Bowl pass rusher Jared Verse, who's only 25 years old
  • A future first round NFL Draft pick
  • Other draft compensation

Is that enough?

It appears to be.

The NFL media world is in agreement on what the Browns are getting back for Garrett. And they seem to like it.

NFL analysts agree on Browns' return for Garrett

NFL fans love Verse and think the draft compensation makes sense for a young, rebuilding team.

"Bummed to lose Myles Garrett… but Verse, and 1st Round Pick in return plus more draft compensation? I can't really hate this move. Young team as it is, building to future. You lose a Hall of Famer, but return feels solid?" Barstool's Jeff D. Lowe shared.

"Set in motion when the Browns re-did that contract, despite their claims otherwise. Pretty good haul back for the Browns. Rams stay aggressive," Tom Downey shared.

"Solid return!" one shared.

"Browns land young star pass rusher on their timeline in Jared Verse + another 1st round pick got ammo to go get their QB in 2027 draft if they need it," Cameron Wolfe added.

"I am so conflicted because Jared Verse is so good and young, but wow," one fan added.

What do you make of Cleveland's return for Myles Garrett?
