Aliyah Boston Injury Update: Indiana Fever Announce Status of All-Star
Aliyah Boston struggled in the Indiana Fever's 83-75 loss to the New York Liberty on Saturday, scoring 13 points on 6-of-15 shooting. She did record nine rebounds and three blocks, but her offensive problems were clear.
However, it's worth noting that Boston left the third quarter due to a lower right leg injury and was initially deemed questionable to return, per Tony East of The IX Sports. While she re-joined the team minutes later, it was obvious that she was not at her best.
In fact, Boston missed seven consecutive shots, including four layups, in the fourth quarter of the game. Sure enough, her lackluster performance in that span contributed to the Fever's loss after they had led by as many as 12 points.
Is Aliyah Boston Playing Today in Fever vs. Mystics?
Her disappointing production aside, Boston's recent injury scare might affect her availability for their upcoming matchup against the Washington Mystics.
The Fever listed Boston on the injury report ahead of Monday's game, along with Caitlin Clark. Boston has been given a "questionable" status, with the team citing her lower right leg injury as the reason for the designation.
A questionable status means there's a 50-50 chance that she either plays or sits out the contest.
Boston is still averaging 15.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.1 blocks per game. That said, she remains an important piece for the Fever as they try to establish themselves as title contenders during the 2026 season.
Should Boston end up being sidelined, Monique Billings, Makayla Timpson and Damiris Dantas are expected to see increased roles.
