Post 1 drops league matchup to Manning-Santee & other summer baseball recaps

MANNING, S.C. − Manning-Santee's Jaxon Baker scattered six hits across six innings and allowed just one unearned run as Post 68 held off a late rally by Florence Post 1 for a 4-3 victory Monday.

The Flamingos (1-7) return to action Wednesday when they will face the Blowfish in Lexington.

Savoi Edwards had two hits, scored two runs and drove in a run for Florence. Cole Lasher doubled home another run and Carlos Diaz picked up an RBI as well.

Zeke Minic was 2 for 3 with a double for the Flamingos, who were held to just one run after the first inning.

Tanner Hall took the loss on the mound. He lasted 2/3 of an inning and allowed four runs on two hits with three walks and a strikeout.
