Dak Prescott Off-Field News Emerges Following Personal Announcement

Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys led America's Team to the No. 2-ranked passing offense during the 2025 NFL season. Only the Los Angeles Rams had more passing yards (4,557, 268.1 per game) than Dallas (4,527, 266.3 per game) last season.

Prescott himself finished third in the league with 4,552 passing yards and fourth in touchdown passes with 30. He was rewarded with his fourth Pro Bowl selection (2016, 2018, 2023, 2025). One of the more reliable targets for the Haughton High School graduate last season was tight end Jake Ferguson. Ferguson was second on the team in catches (82), behind All-Pro George Pickens (93), and finished with 600 receiving yards. The 6-foot-5 tight end was third among NFL tight ends in touchdowns with eight.

The connection between the two is not limited to the field. On Monday, reports surfaced that Prescott attended Ferguson's wedding. Cowboys writer Brandon Loree reported on the social media platform X that Prescott attended the wedding of Ferguson and his wife, Haley Cavinder.

The two tied the knot Saturday on the beachfront at the Biltmore Hotel in Miami. Cavinder is a former Miami Hurricanes guard and social media influencer. Current Carolina Panthers player and former Ferguson teammate Tommy Tremble officiated the wedding.

That same day, Cowboys writer Clarence Hill Jr. expanded on the story, reporting that Prescott was actually a groomsman in the wedding. The moment had to be bittersweet for Prescott, who, after a joint bachelor-bachelorette trip to the Bahamas with his fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, called off their April 10 wedding.

"Dak Prescott was a groomsman," Hill Jr. wrote on X.

Dallas will open the 2026 NFL regular season on the road at MetLife Stadium against the division-rival New York Giants on Sunday Night Football on Sept. 13.
