EA FC 26 Patch Notes: New Update Addresses Career Mode and Ultimate Team

As the FIFA World Cup heads into the semifinal stage, EA Sports has released another EA FC 26 title update. While the latest patch isn't packed with new content, it addresses several issues affecting Career Mode, Ultimate Team, and the game's interface as EA continues polishing the experience throughout the tournament.

Ultimate Team Updates

Ultimate Team receives the biggest batch of fixes in this update, with improvements aimed at making navigation smoother and resolving a couple of frustrating issues.

The latest changes include:

  • Players will now return to the New Releases screen after viewing the Store, Squad Building Challenges, or Objectives from New Releases.
  • Fixed an issue where using the "Swap Duplicated Items" function on Stadium Items could disconnect players from Ultimate Team.
  • Resolved an issue that prevented some overlays from displaying Player Item images correctly.

Career Mode Fix

Career Mode receives one gameplay presentation fix in the latest patch.

EA Sports has addressed an issue where national anthems were not playing during the International Men's Tournament, restoring an authentic pre-match experience for those competing on the international stage.

General, Audio, and Visual Updates

The update also includes several presentation and technical improvements across EA FC 26.

Other changes include:

  • Updated select crests, text, player hair, headshots, tattoos, and kits.
  • Addressed a stability issue that could occur during gameplay.
  • Fixed an issue where some NVIDIA RTX 3050 graphics cards loaded incorrect graphics recommendations by default.

What Was Added in June's Update?

Before today's maintenance-focused patch, EA Sports released a larger World Cup update that introduced several quality-of-life features for tournament play. Players received a new Tournament Tree widget in the Office Hub during the knockout stages, direct access to the FC Hub from the Tournament Hub, active objective tracking while competing in tournaments, tournament stage information on the Next Fixture screen, and refreshed UI elements for the "See Tree Overview" page.

While today's update is relatively small, it continues EA Sports' post-launch support by polishing Ultimate Team, Career Mode, and the overall presentation as the FIFA World Cup approaches its final matches.
