With wins in back-to-back matches at home, Charlotte FC will face a test on the road against the Philadelphia Union this Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Charlotte FC head coach Miguel Ángel Ramírez said that the goal is consistency.

“This is something that I would like for my team, is the difference between our best day and our worst day has to become less,” Ramírez said this week.

Charlotte FC (2-3-0) is ranked eighth of 14 teams in the Eastern Conference, which is topped by the Union (3-0-1). Ramírez acknowledged the task ahead, but noted that Charlotte has recently shown its grit.

“I believe that we are a tough opponent, even when it’s somebody better than us in front, I believe that we are tough,” Ramírez said. “...This (quality), you have or you don’t have. I don’t think you can coach this, but we have it and we have these kinds of players that want to keep competing and keep challenging the opponent.”
