Major League Soccer is back at Bank of America Stadium.

Charlotte FC will return to action when it hosts New England Revolution at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. It’ll be the first time fans will be able to see the team that is embarking on its second year — one that impressed and inspired a year ago.

Bank of America Stadium last year was known to deliver one of the best match-day experiences in MLS. Charlotte FC averaged 35,260 in attendance per home game, second-best in the league only behind Atlanta United FC.

Last season’s home-opener for Charlotte FC featured an MLS-record crowd of 74,479.

The game will be broadcast on Apple TV as part of a deal MLS struck with the streaming platform.

Tickets to Bank of America Stadium are still on sale and start at $15.

Here’s what you need to know.

Head coach: Christian Lattanzio signed a two-year contract with an option to extend to 2025 this offseason. The coach was thrust into the interim head coaching role after Miguel Angel Ramirez was fired a few months into the season last year. The renowned talent-developer with a world class resume earned the praise from the front office and the fans for his steadfast leadership through change last season, and he’s widely beloved by the players, too.

Assistant coach to know: Christian Fuchs retired after a long, special playing career this offseason. He has since joined Lattanzio’s coaching staff.

Biggest offseason news: Charlotte FC defender and beloved teammate Anton Walkes was killed in a boating accident in South Florida in January, a tragedy that reverberated around the city, league and world. Players and coaches have made it their mission to play for their teammate this season and to always refer to Walkes in the present tense: “I think I get more strength because I think Anton, somehow, is with us,” Lattanzio said last month. “We made a promise to him that he’s going to be with us.”

Players to know: Ashley Westwood, Brandt Bronico, Kamil Jóźwiak, Karol Świderski, Enzo Copetti. Read more about them here.

Injury report: Starting goalkeeper Kristijan Kahlina is still recovering from back surgery and will not be available on Saturday. He’ll be replaced by Pablo Sisniega. Also out of commission for Saturday’s opener: Adam Armour (knee, defender) and Guzmán Corujo (knee, defender).
