Charlotte Hornets forward Frank Kaminsky likes Skittles, just like he likes basketball.

Now he enjoys both at once.

The makers of Skittles heard how much Kaminsky likes their candy. So they hooked him up with a small basketball hoop that dispenses Skittles every time a basket is made.

Kaminsky hung the hoop on a door at his home. The toy can hold up to 3 pounds of Skittles.

"It holds a lot," Kaminsky said at practice Wednesday. "I haven’t made even slightly a dent in it. That’s just too much candy for me. It’s fun to have around."

The Hornets practiced about 2 ½ hours Wednesday after a day off Tuesday. That followed a preseason loss to the Dallas Mavericks Monday that exposed flaws. Charlottean Seth Curry scored 20 points for the Mavericks, making five of six 3-pointers.

"We had an intense practice. We want to be a good defensive team, but we didn’t do too well in that Dallas game," Kaminsky said.
