Hornets coach Steve Clifford will assign minutes differently in next two exhibitions
When the Hornets resume their exhibition schedule in Chicago on Monday, you’ll start seeing a rotation pattern that will resemble the regular season’s.
Clifford struck a balance the first four exhibitions between getting his regulars playing time and not wearing them down. So typically, no one in what will be the regular-season rotation has played more than 25 minutes per game.
At least for the exhibition in Chicago and Thursday’s home exhibition against the Miami Heat, Clifford plans to assign minutes more like he will in the regular season. The final exhibition, at the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday, could be different because it’s the second game on back-to-back nights.
