Charlotte Hornets - Oklahoma City Thunder Observations 02.21.15

▪  Coach Steve Clifford made a lineup change Friday, starting Mo Williams in his first game as a Charlotte Hornet. Williams, acquired in a trade last week with the Minnesota Timberwolves, replaced Brian Roberts, who returned to the backup role.

▪  Reserve center Bismack Biyombo missed his eighth consecutive game Saturday with a bone bruise on his right knee. Biyombo had another Magnetic Resonance Imaging Saturday that indicated enough healing that Biyombo can start on-court workouts. But he’s still at least a week away from playing.

▪  The Oklahoma City Thunder played without superstar Kevin Durant, who sat out the game with a sore foot. So Durant missed both meeting with the Hornets this season.

▪  Clifford chose to have small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, back from a hamstring injury, guard Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook almost from tip-off Saturday. Clifford experimented with that in the previous meeting this season in Oklahoma City, but too late to make much difference. Westbrook finished with 29 points that night.
