Dirk Nowitzki vs. Cody Zeller/Marvin Williams: Nowitzki’s versatile scoring ability, particularly his pull-up mid-range game, will be a big challenge to the Hornets’ two primary power forwards.

▪ The Mavericks’ roster move was signing Amare Stoudemire for the rest of the season once he cleared waivers with the New York Knicks.
