Charlotte Hornets - Dallas Mavericks Observations 02.22.15

▪ The Dallas Mavericks have some of the best fans in the NBA. With a nasty winter storm in the forecast, they showed up strong for a Sunday night game and gave huge ovation when Amar’e Stoudemire made his debut with the team in the first quarter.

▪ Because of that weather, it looked questionable whether the Hornets’ charter flight to Chicago on Monday morning would take place. The team scheduled a day off Monday, then practice Tuesday in Chicago.

▪ Things didn’t work out for Dallas center Tyson Chandler when he played for Charlotte, but he still has a lot of game.. He and former coach Larry Brown just couldn’t coexist, for whatever reason.

▪ Gerald Henderson played with a sore left wrist. That is not the wrist he had surgery on last spring.
