Matchup to Watch
Dwyane Wade vs. Gerald Henderson: Wade has been trying to play with a left knee contusion to get the Heat into one of the last two playoff spots in the Eastern Conference.
Observations
▪ The Hornets have to do a lot of winning over their remaining games to reach the playoffs, but after losing to the Celtics and Pacers, beating the Heat would be extra important considering the standings.
▪ The Hornets have been playing without three starters – Al Jefferson, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Cody Zeller. The Heat has had similar issues, losing Chris Bosh and Josh McRoberts.
Tap-ins
▪ Gastonia’s Hassan Whiteside is questionable for the Heat with a right hand laceration.
▪ If the Hornets win Tuesday they would win the season series (3-1 record) and tiebreaker with Miami.
Did you know?
Dragic and Wade combine to shoot 49 percent from the field this season – the best-shooting backcourt in the NBA.
