Golden State’s Stephen Curry on cover of Sports Illustrated

Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors point guard and NBA MVP who attended Charlotte Christian and Davidson College, is on the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine this week.

Curry had a game-high 34 points Tuesday night in a victory over the Houston Rockets in a Game 1 victory in the NBA Western Conference final.

He told SI’s Lee Jenkins he’s most comfortable in the biggest games.

“On the big stage, everything slows down,” he said. “You’re comfortable. You’re not rushed. You know it’s do or die, but you treat it like it’s Game 27. You can do that because you’ve been there before – and failed.”
