Charlotte Hornets salute Kobe Bryant with commemorative arm sleeve against Knicks

The Charlotte Hornets and New York Knicks honored Kobe Bryant in multiple ways Tuesday night at Spectrum Center.

The teams took 24- and 8-second violations on the game’s opening possessions, as has become common across the NBA the past two nights. The Hornets also wore custom Jordan Brand arm sleeves with Bryant’s Nos. 8 and 24 on them in Lakers colors. Additionally, a video was played before fans took a moment of silence for the future first-ballot hall of famer.

Bryant, 41, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others perished in a helicopter crash Sunday in Southern California.
