The Greensboro Swarm got their man on Saturday.

Days after learning the Charlotte Hornets didn’t actually hold LiAngelo Ball’s G League rights as the team originally thought, the Swarm selected him with the 14th pick in the G League Draft. Ball headlined the Swarm’s three first-round picks, joining Chudier Bile and Tyree White.

After being signed to a non-guaranteed contract last week with the purpose to being waived, Ball got caught up in a procedural issue that made him eligible for the draft rather than the Hornets holding his rights. But now he’s a member of the Swarm and will play for first-year coach Jordan Surenkamp.

Bile, a Georgetown product, was on Denver’s summer league roster and appeared in two games. White, who played at University of Louisiana-Monroe, appeared in five games with Milwaukee’s summer league team.
