Best places to park in uptown for Charlotte Hornets’ games this season (+ what it’ll cost)

It’s that time of year again: NBA season.

The Charlotte Hornets officially ring in their 82 game season on Wednesday, Oct. 25, against the Atlanta Hawks at the Spectrum Center.

The game will begin at 7 p.m. but some Buzz City fans may be out in uptown even earlier ahead of tip-off.

Whether you’re planning to drive to the arena or would rather get dropped off, here’s everything you need to know about getting to and from the Hornets’ games:

Parking options near Spectrum Center

Spectrum Center is located at 333 East Trade Street, directly across Trade Street from the Charlotte Transportation Center.

There are nearly 30,000 off-street parking spaces within 15 minutes of the arena. There are also several lots around the arena where you can reserve a parking spot online:

What about bus, light rail or streetcar to the game?

For those that want to take public transportation to the game, you can use Charlotte Area Transit System, including buses, the LYNX light rail service and the CityLYNX streetcar line. You can check ride schedules and pick-up and drop-off locations online at ridetransit.org.

Tickets can be purchased at each station platform or online through the CATS-Pass mobile app.
