Jeff Peterson’s cellphone is still buzzing with activity.

The Charlotte Hornets’ president of basketball operations continues to tweak the roster, agreeing to terms on a two-way contract with guard Antonio Reeves, a league source confirmed to The Observer on Wednesday.

Reeves appeared in 44 regular-season games for the Pelicans in 2024-25, recording six starts, and posted 6.9 points and 1.4 rebounds in 15 minutes per game. The 6-foot-5, 205-pounder, who played at Kentucky, was selected No. 47 overall by New Orleans in 2024.

Before officially adding Reeves, the Hornets must make a roster move.

After bringing Drew Peterson on board on a two-way deal, the Hornets have 21 players under contract, which is the maximum a team can carry in the offseason. Charlotte also has two others on two-way contracts — KJ Simpson and Damion Baugh — and three is the limit.

So, that means there’s a good possibility Baugh becomes one of the odd men out. DaQuan Jeffries and Nick Smith Jr. could also be candidates to be trimmed off the roster prior to the team convening in September for voluntary workouts leading into training camp in October.
