Matchup to Watch

Al Jefferson vs. Pau Gasol: Jefferson went 5-of-19 in his last two games and was held out of both fourth quarters of close games. Gasol is a solid post defender.

Observations

▪  The Hornets dominated the Bulls in Charlotte for their first victory of the season Nov. 3, leading by as many as 35 points. After that game the Bulls replaced starter Tony Snell with Doug McDermott.

▪  Bulls second-year forward Nikola Mirotic is emerging as one of the better young players in the NBA. Versus the 76ers he generated 20 points off 11 shots and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Tap-ins

▪  Bulls guard Jimmy Butler told Chicago media he found it “disrespectful” that Hornets guard Brian Roberts threw up a shot at the end of the blowout victory.

▪  Bulls center Joakim Noah sat out Tuesday’s victory in Philadelphia with a sore knee but was able to practice fully Thursday.
