Matchup to Watch

Danilo Gallinari vs. P.J. Hairston: Gallinari scores all over the court, so Hairston will do a lot of chasing from the 3-point line to the rim.

Observations

▪ The Hornets’ losing streak reached six games with Saturday’s 97-83 fall to the Los Angeles Clippers. While the Nuggets haven’t been good this season, it’s difficult to play in Denver on the second might of a back-to-back, affording less time to adjust to the high altitude.

▪ The Hornets have swept the home-and-home with the Nuggets each of the previous two seasons.

Tap-ins

▪ Hornets guard Nic Batum missed his fourth consecutive game Saturday with a sprained toe on his right foot.

▪ The Hornets get a two-day break from games after Sunday before Wednesday’s home game versus the Atlanta Hawks.

Did you know?

The all-time series between these franchises is dead even at 25, but the Hornets are only 9-16 in games in Denver.
