Matchup to Watch
Kemba Walker vs. John Wall: Did Kemba Walker get snubbed by not being selected for the All-Star Game? Two point guards – Wall and Boston’s Isaiah Thomas – were ahead of him in the coach’s assessment.
Observations
▪ Jared Dudley, who was a late first-round draftee by the Bobcats, has exceptional versatilty. He has played shooting guard, small forward and power forward at the NBA level. He made himself into a 3-point shooter, which helped him sustain a long NBA career.
▪ Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal sat out the game against the Toronto Raptors with a broken nose and concussion.
Tap-ins
▪ This is the second of back-to-back home games. The Hornets played the Miami Heat Friday at Time Warner Cable Arena.
▪ This is the third of four consecutive home games. The Hornets will be on the road for six straight (with an All-Star break) after Monday.
Did you know?
The Wizards’ roster is full of players who played for Charlotte: Dudley, Garrett Temple, Gary Neal and Ramon Sessions are all ex-Bobcats.
