Logo unveiled for 2017 NBA All-Star Game in Charlotte
The NBA on Sunday unveiled the logo for the 2017 NBA All-Star Game in Charlotte.
The inspiration for the logo, according to an NBA press release, is Queen Charlotte, for whom the city is named.
The logo, unveiled during the 2016 game in Toronto, includes a crown "reminiscent of the city’s iconic statue."
The Charlotte Hornets’ team colors, purple and teal, are also part of the design.
The game will take place at Time Warner Cable Arena, home of the Hornets, on Feb. 19, 2017.
Details on tickets, schedule and other information for the 66th NBA All-Star Game will be released at a later date, the release stated.
The game will be broadcast worldwide in more than 200 countries and territories and in more than 40 languages.
