Ex-Charlotte Hornet Rex Chapman gets probation in Arizona shoplifting
Former Charlotte Hornets guard Rex Chapman has been sentenced to probation in a 2014 shoplifting case.
A judge in Phoenix sentenced the 48-year-old on Friday to 18 months of supervised probation.
Per the plea agreement, Judge Jay Adleman sentenced Rex Chapman to 18 months Supervised Probation for 4 counts of theft.

Court officials say Chapman has already completed a requirement for 750 hours of community service.
Court records indicate Chapman pleaded guilty Sept. 4 to four counts of theft stemming from several incidents.
Rex Chapman must also perform 750 hours of community service which he already completed and can participate in interstate compact.

Scottsdale police previously said Chapman was accused of stealing $14,000 worth of merchandise from an Apple store in Scottsdale and then selling the items at a pawn shop.
The former Kentucky star was a first-round draft pick of Charlotte in 1988.
He also played for Washington, Miami and Phoenix in a 12-year NBA career that ended in 2000. He later served as an executive with the Denver Nuggets.
