Matchup to Watch
Kemba Walker vs. Emmanuel Mudiay: Walker might be the NBA’s Most Improved Player. Mudiay was the Nuggets’ lottery pick.
Observations
▪ The Hornets list Cody Zeller as questionable with a bruised knee. He sat the second half of Thursday’s victory in Miami. Spencer Hawes, who has been out for a while with a sore lower back, is listed as questionable also.
▪ The Nuggets lost two important pieces this season in forward Danilo Gallinari (ankle) and Wilson Chandler (hip surgery).
Tap-ins
▪ Note the 6 p.m. tip-off, an hour earlier than usual. This was at the request of the NBA, to accommodate an international broadcast of the game.
▪ Like the Hornets, the Nuggets have a strong bench this season. The reserves scored 75 points recently against the Washington Wizards.
Did you know?
Rookie Mudiay has hit a different stride in March, averaging 19.4 points and six assists, while shooting 46 percent from the field.
