The Charlotte 49ers’ Conference USA football game against Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton, Fla., has been moved to Sunday, FAU athletics officials announced Thursday morning.

The game, originally scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Saturday, was tentatively rescheduled for noon Sunday at FAU Stadium.

However, a statement from FAU officials said a final decision on the game’s status will be made once Hurricane Matthew has moved from the area and officials have a chance to assess damage.
