TENNESSEE STATE (8-2) at No. 5 DUKE (10-1)
Cameron Indoor Stadium, Durham, 7 p.m. ESPNU
The Tigers are off to an 8-2 start for the second straight year, and they gave N.C. State fits on Dec. 10 before losing in overtime. Their strength is defense, and they’ve held five opponents to less than 33 percent shooting. But Tennessee State is 1-33 all-time against Top 25 teams. Duke is playing for the first time in nine days and is hoping to have several players back in good health. Grayson Allen (17.7 points a game) remains the Blue Devils’ leading scorer.
JOHNSON C. SMITH (5-6, 1-0 CIAA) at BOWIE STATE (4-6, 1-0)
A.C. Jordan Arena, Bowie, Md., 6 p.m.
The Golden Bulls finish a two-game trip against the CIAA’s northernmost members, after Saturday’s 78-71 win at Lincoln (Pa.). Robert Davis led the Bulls with 17 points in that game, in which Johnson C. Smith built a big early lead and then hung on to win. Bowie State’s scoring leader is guard Ahmaad Wilson (16.2 points a game, 38 percent from 3-point range). Bowie is playing for the second day in a row, having faced Kutztown (Pa.) University on Sunday evening.
