Charlotte 49ers add football game against South Carolina. When will the teams play?
The Charlotte 49ers have wrapped up their nonconference football schedules through 2021 and will also play at South Carolina in 2022, the school announced Wednesday.
The 49ers added a game at Tennessee in 2020, the first of five consecutive seasons Charlotte will play two games against Power Five opponents per year.
The 49ers will play the Gamecocks in Williams-Brice Stadium on Sept. 24, 2022. Charlotte also moved a previously scheduled game at Indiana from 2022 to 2024.
The 49ers announced home openers against the Football Championship Subdivision’s Norfolk State in 2020 and the FCS’ Duquesne in 2021.
