Penn State has five players averaging in double figures. ...Allerik Freeman, who played at Olympic High before transferring to Findlay Prep (Nev.), leads N.C. State with 15.9 points a game.
CLEMSON (5-1) at OHIO STATE (6-1)
Value City Arena, Columbus, Ohio, 7:15 p.m. ESPN2
Buckeyes forward Keita Bates-Diop had 10 or more rebounds and 16 or more points in all but one game this season. ...Clemson forward Elijah Thomas averages 13 points and 9.2 rebounds.
MICHIGAN (6-1) at No. 13 NORTH CAROLINA (5-1)
Smith Center, Chapel Hill, 7:30 p.m., ESPN
The Tar Heels’ frontcourt could have its hands full with Michigan forward Charles Matthews (16.7 points per game) and center Moritz Wagner (15.3 points, 8.4 rebounds). The Heels shot a program-worst 24.6 percent in Sunday’s loss to Michigan State.
No. 1 DUKE (8-0) at INDIANA (4-2)
Assembly Hall, Bloomington, Ind., 9:30 p.m., ESPN
Indiana is getting scoring from several players, but 6-8 forward Juwan Morgan, who scored 28 points against Arkansas State last week, has been hot. Duke freshman Marvin Bagley III has averaged 32 points the last two games.
WINTHROP (3-3) at FURMAN (4-2)
Timmons Arena, Greenville, S.C., 7 p.m.
Winthrop has four straight victories over the Paladins, but seven of the series’ nine game were decided by seven points or less. Furman’s Devin Sibley is coming off a 22-point, 10-rebound outing in a victory over Northeastern.
CATAWBA (2-2) at No. 2 QUEENS (5-0)
Levine Center, Charlotte, 8 p.m.
Catawba forward Jerrin Morrison (East Mecklenburg High) was SAC Player of the Week after scoring 38 points last week against Winston-Salem State. Queens opens a bid for the SAC title after winning its first five games by double digits and remains ranked No. 2 in the Division II poll. It’s also the SAC opener for Catawba.
