College basketball: Wednesday’s regional games to watch

FLORIDA STATE (16-5, 5-4 ACC) at WAKE FOREST (8-13, 1-8)

Six Seminoles scored in double figures in Saturday’s 103-94 overtime victory over Miami – the second time this season that’s happened. ... Wake Forest, which has lost seven in a row and nine of 10, has shot less than 40 percent from the floor in six of those games.

MISSISSIPPI STATE (15-6, 3-5 SEC) at SOUTH CAROLINA (13-8, 4-4)

Colonial Life Arena, Columbia, 8:30 p.m., SEC Network

Quinndary Weatherspoon averages 17 points a game for Mississippi State, which has lost five of its their past seven. ...Chris Silva scored 16 points but fouled out Saturday as the Gamecocks faltered in the final minutes against 10th-ranked Texas Tech.

LA SALLE (9-12, 3-5 Atlantic 10) at DAVIDSON (10-9, 5-3)

Belk Arena, Davidson, 7 p.m.

LaSalle’s last game was a week ago, with Amar Stukes’ career-high 22 points leading a 15-point victory over Massachusetts. ... Davidson has lost two straight after a five-game winning streak, and the Wildcats had 17 turnovers in Sunday’s loss to Richmond. Jon Axel Gudmundsson led Davidson with 21 points.

COKER (8-12, 5-7 South Atlantic) at No. 3 QUEENS (20-1, 11-1)

Levine Athletic Center, Charlotte, 8 p.m.

Queens trailed Coker by eight points late in their Dec. 18 game in Hartsville, S.C., before rallying. The Cobras had five players score in double figures, led by Marquis Green’s 16 points. Todd Withers led Queens’ comeback, with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
