Carolinas hoops: Regional college basketball games

MONDAY’S COLLEGE GAMEDAY

NEBRASKA (5-1) at No. 16 CLEMSON (5-1)

Littlejohn Coliseum, Clemson, S.C., 7 p.m. ESPN2

It’s the first night of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The Cornhuskers are shooting only 32 percent from 3-point range, but G Glynn Watson Jr. is making 52 percent of his 3-pointers. Clemson’s Marcquise Reed has four games with 20 or more points this season.

WOFFORD (4-2) at SOUTH CAROLINA (3-2)

Colonial Life Arena, Columbia, 7 p.m.

Wofford G Fletcher Magee is taking an average of 11 3-point shots per game, but his 40.6 percent average is down about five percentage points from last season. Gamecock senior F Chris Silva is coming off his best game of the campaign – 20 points and nine rebounds against George Washington.

WINSTON-SALEM STATE (2-2) at APPALACHIAN STATE (1-4)

Holmes Convocation Center, Boone, 7 p.m.

The Division 2 Rams prefer to control the tempo but exploded for 109 points in their last game. The Mountaineers have lost four straight, but three of those were to heavyweights Alabama, Purdue and Wichita State. They are shooting 49 percent from the floor so far.
