Mikiah Herbert Harrigan named SEC tournament’s top player

South Carolina senior forward Mikiah Herbert Harrigan was named the SEC women’s basketball tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.

The Gamecocks defeated Mississippi State 76-62 at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in the SEC tournament championship. It’s USC’s fifth conference title in six years.

Herbert Harrigan had 15 points to lead four Gamecocks in double figures Sunday. She averaged 14.7 points in USC’s three wins in Greenville. She had six blocks for the weekend, including three in the title game.

Joining her on the all tournament team were teammates Ty Harris and Destanni Henderson, as well as Kentucky’s Rhyne Howard and Mississippi State’s Rickea Jackson.
