No. 18 N.C. State heads to Florida for the Pop-Tarts Bowl, where it faces No. 25 Kansas State (8-4) in the first meeting between the two teams.
Various media sources list the Pop-Tarts Bowl as one of the top bowl games to watch, outside of the New Year’s Six games. They noted the intriguing matchups, lineup changes – graduate quarterback Brennan Armstrong will face a freshman QB – and the overall marketing done by the bowl organizers.
This is the Wolfpack’s ninth bowl game in the last 10 seasons, tying NC State with Miami for the second-best number in the ACC over that time period. Clemson qualified for 10 straight. Additionally, head coach Dave Doeren led the Pack (9-3) to more bowl games than any other coach in program history.
