The Wolfpack will be represented at the NFL Combine. Who earned an invite?
Two Wolfpack captains earned invites to the 2024 NFL Combine, the league announced Tuesday.
The NFL invited N.C. State linebacker Payton Wilson and offensive lineman Dylan McMahon to the combine, which is set for Feb. 26 through March 4 in Indianapolis.
Wilson won the Butkus and Bednarik Awards, earned ACC Defensive Player of the Year honors, and unanimous All-America recognition.
He recorded 138 total tackles to lead the nation, including 69 solo, 17.5 tackles for loss and six sacks. Wilson also contributed three interceptions, two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and one pick six in his final campaign with the Wolfpack.
McMahon was an All-ACC honorable mention selection for his performances at center. The graduate student appeared in 11 games, missing the Virginia and Louisville contests due to injury.
The N.C. State offense recorded 200-plus rushing yards in four games, including its two-best run game performances against Wake Forest (266 yards) and Kansas State (235). The team averaged just 133.4 rushing yards in the first eight games, but finished with 214.8 in the final four.
Combine coverage begins on Feb. 29 on the NFL Network and NFL+.
