Charlotte 49ers open football season Friday, Sept. 4, at Georgia State
The Charlotte 49ers’ first game of the 2015 football season has been switched to Friday, Sept. 4, when they will face Georgia State in Atlanta’s Georgia Dome.
The game had been tentatively scheduled for Sept. 3. It’s the first of two Friday games the 49ers will play (the other is against Temple at Richardson Stadium on Oct. 2).
This will be Charlotte’s first season as an NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision program. Charlotte plays its first Conference USA game at Middle Tennessee on Sept. 19. The 49ers’ home opener is Sept. 12 against Presbyterian.
