The Charlotte 49ers on Thursday released their 12-game schedule for the 2016 football season.

Charlotte’s schedule includes five games against 2015 bowl teams and rematches of each Conference USA game played in 2015, the 49ers’ first season in the league.

The 49ers also will be competing in their second season at the Football Bowl Subvision level as a member of Conference USA and their first with bowl eligibility.

The 49ers’ schedule includes six home games and six road games with four nonconference matchups and eight Conference USA games.

All games are subject to date changes. A schedule of televised games will be released later.

Thursday, 1: at Louisville; Saturday, 10: vs. Elon ; Saturday, 17: Eastern Michigan ; Saturday, 24: at Temple

OCTOBER

Saturday, 1: Old Dominion ; Saturday, 8: at Florida Atlantic ; Saturday, 15: Florida International ; Saturday, 22: at Marshall ; Saturday, 29: Bye

NOVEMBER

Saturday, 5: at Southern Miss ; Saturday, 12: Rice ; Saturday, 19: Middle Tennessee ; Saturday, 26: at Texas-San Antonio
