Davidson vs. Iowa
7:20 p.m. Friday
MATCHUP TO WATCH
Davidson forward Peyton Aldridge vs. Iowa forward Aaron White: Aldridge, a 6-foot-7 freshman, is the team’s top interior defender. He’ll need to stay out of foul trouble as the bigger Hawkeyes, led by all-Big 10 player White, probably will try to pound the ball inside.
▪ Wildcats coach Bob McKillop has tightened his rotation in the postseason. Forwards Andrew McCauliffe and Oskar Michelsen are still seeing time off the bench, but the minutes of Nathan Ekwu and Jordan Watkins have decreased.
▪ Iowa center Gabe Olaseni is the Big Ten’s sixth-man of the year. He averages 8.3 points and 4.9 rebounds.
▪ Davidson junior forward Jake Belford is from Battle Ground, Wash. Belford has missed most of the season with a knee injury, however, and won’t get to play in front of the home folks.
