Former Charlotte 49ers point guard Pierria Henry has signed a contract to play professionally for B.C. Vita Tbilisi in Georgia’s VTB United League.

Henry, who played for the NBA’s Houston Rockets summer league team, finished his Charlotte career as the program’s all-time leader in steals (296), assists (4,566) and minutes played (3,947). He was a three-time all-defensive team selection (once in the Atlantic 10, twice in Conference USA) and led C-USA in steals (2.38 per game) last season, when he was a third-team all-conference selection.

Henry, a basketball and football standout in high school in Charleston, W.Va., was a four-year starter for the 49ers.
