The 49ers return from an exam break trying to snap a six-game losing streak, the last a 76-70 loss to Campbell on Dec. 9. … Appalachian State also is on a losing streak, having dropped its past four games. However, the Mountaineers last played Tuesday, falling 67-55 at Texas. … The 49ers lead the all-time series 22-13 and have won the past two games.

Queens (10-0, 4-0) at Mars Hill (5-5, 1-3)

Stanford Arena, Mars Hill, 4 p.m.

The Royals, ranked 12th in NCAA Division II, return to South Atlantic Conference play. … They set a program record for best start by beating Warren Wilson 94-69 Sunday. … Mars Hill is 2-2 on its five-game homestand.

Virginia Union (5-6, 0-1) at Johnson C. Smith (5-4, 1-0)

Brayboy Gymnasium, 4 p.m.

The host Golden Bulls snapped a three-game losing streak by beating Lincoln (Pa.) 90-79 on Tuesday in its CIAA opener. … Virginia Union has lost two straight and three of its past four.

Winthrop (6-3) at Georgia Southern (3-5)

Hanner Fieldhouse, Statesboro, Ga., 4 p.m.

The Eagles wrap up a three-game road trip and are coming off of back-to-back losses against Georgia and Alabama. … Georgia Southern has lost two straight, including a 99-65 loss Tuesday at No. 7 Duke.

Mizzou Arena, Columbia, Mo., 6 p.m. (SEC)

The Tigers, in their second season under coach Kim Anderson, are coming off a 36-point loss at Arizona and are 0-3 vs. Power 5 conference teams.

No. 11 North Carolina (8-2) vs. No. 22 UCLA (8-3)

Barclays Center, Brooklyn, 1 p.m. (CBS)

UCLA has won five consecutive games – including victories against then-No. 1 Kentucky and Gonzaga – since it lost 80-77 to Wake Forest on Nov. 25.

No. 7 Duke (9-1) vs. Utah (8-2)

Madison Square Garden, New York, Noon (ESPN)

These are not the teams that met in the Sweet 16 last season in Houston (a 63-57 Duke win). Utah’s do-everything guard Delon Wright graduated, and the Blue Devils lost half of their team.
