The Golden Bulls begin a four-game CIAA road trip. … Johnson C. Smith is coming off its first conference loss, falling to Bowie State 83-75 Monday and snapping a three-game winning streak. … Chowan, one of three CIAA teams with undefeated league records, has won its past four games.

Texas-Arlington (11-2, 2-0) at Appalachian State (2-11, 0-2)

Holmes Center, Boone, 7:30 p.m.

The Mountaineers will host one the Sun Belt’s hottest teams. … Appalachian State has lost eight straight, including league games to Louisiana-Monroe and Louisiana-Lafayette … Texas-Arlington enters on a six-game winning streak, the longest active streak in the league, and is one of four teams tied atop the conference standings.

Charlotte (3-10, 0-1) at Southern Mississippi (3-9, 0-1)

Reed Green Coliseum, Hattiesburg, Miss., 8 p.m.

The 49ers continue their three-game Conference USA road trip. … Charlotte lost its conference opener Saturday, falling at Old Dominion 74-65. … The Golden Eagles also lost their C-USA opener Saturday, 87-57 at Louisiana Tech. … The 49ers have won four of their past five meetings and lead the all-time series 27-5.

No. 16 Louisville (12-2, 1-0) at N.C. State (10-4, 0-1)

PNC Arena, Raleigh, 7 p.m. (ESPN2)

Louisville’s press and 2-3 zone bothered N.C. State last March in the NCAA tournament. The Cards doubled point guard Cat Barber fullcourt to make him give the ball up. Barber, who got sick the night before the NCAA loss, was 3-of-14 shooting and scored eight points in the meeting.
