The Irish are all offense, ranking second nationally in offensive efficiency, averaging 1.21 points per possession (Duke is fourth at 1.20). Notre Dame’s defense, though, leaves much to be desired, as the Irish gives up 1.04 points per possession, 206th out of 351 Division-I teams. ... Mike Krzyzewski is 21-3 against former assistants; all three of those loses were to Notre Dame’s Mike Brey (with just one win against him). ... Irish sophomore reserve forward Bonzie Colson played well against Duke last year. In Notre Dame’s 74-64 ACC tournament semifinal win, Colson had 17 points off the bench. In the Blue Devils’ 77-73 loss at Notre Dame on Jan. 28, Colson came off the bench to play effective 1-on-1 defense against Jahlil Okafor and contributed eight points in 15 minutes.
