Northside Christian girls fall to Carolina Day in NCISAA 2A state final
Carolina Day won its 5th consecutive N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association 2A championship Saturday, beating Northside Christian 58-55.
The game was tight throughout as the Knights (27-3) pulled within three and four points several times in the fourth quarter and had the game tied in the second half. Northside, which lost in the 2A semifinals last season, got 14 points from 6-4 sophomore star Eleah Parker, who also had six rebounds.
Northside’s Shamani Stafford had 12 points and two rebounds and Christiana McLean finished with 14 points and three rebounds.
Carolina Day (22-6) was led by 16 points from Tess Harris, 11 from Mikayla Ray and 10 each from Cheyenne Bunner and Ralene Kwiatkowski.
