West Charlotte, Hickory Ridge join Observer’s Sweet 16 boys basketball poll

The Sweet 16 girls basketball poll had a lot of turnover this week, but the boys had even more.

Rocky River and Vance made huge jumps up the rankings. Rocky River went from No. 13 to No. 5. Vance jumped from 14th to 6th. Also there was movement among nearly every ranked team from a week ago.

Joining the poll this week are No. 15 West Charlotte, off to a surprising 4-1 start with a young team under first-year coach Jacoby Davis. Also new to the poll is No. 16 Hickory Ridge, off to a 3-0 start behind point guard Darian Bell.
