Jack Davidson, Myers Park: Threw a touchdown pass to Northwest Guilford’s Thomas Hennigan with 20 seconds left in the Shrine Bowl in Spartanburg Saturday. North Carolina won 17-10. Davidson’s 7-yard touchdown throw to Western Alamance’s Darius Pinnix tied the game at 10 early in the fourth quarter.

Jake Alexander, South Point: Ran 28 times for 135 yards in a 16-7 win over Rocky Mount in the N.C. 3A state championship. Alexander finished the year with 1,804 yards and was named championship MVP, helping to deliver his school’s fourth state title.

David Bayha, Weddington: Threw for 183 yards and three touchdowns in Weddington’s 33-20 win over Eastern Guilford in the N.C. 3AA state championship game. Bayha also ran for 74 yards, helping to lead the Warriors to their first state title.

Derion Kendrick, Rock Hill South Pointe: 18-for-28 for 261 yards and five touchdowns in the Stallions’ 51-28 S.C. 4A state championship win over Hartsville.
