Southwestern 4A all-conference baseball team announced
East Mecklenburg’s baseball team, which finished 15-11, has produced the Southwestern 4A coach and player of the year.
East Meck’s Luke Little was named league player of the year by Southwestern 4A coaches. East’s Clint Koppe was named conference coach of the year.
Porter Ridge’s Brennan Malone was named pitcher of the year.
Little and Koppe helped East Meck to its first winning record since 2011. Little hit .402 with 29 RBIs. He appeared 11 times as a pitcher and had a 2.32 ERA.
