Observer high school football players of the week for games of Friday, Aug. 25:

Derion Kendrick, Rock Hill South Point: Clemson commit was 18-for-18 for 324 yards and four touchdowns in a 53-0 victory over Fort Mill Nation Ford. He ran for a 5-yard score.

Jake Alexander, South Point: Had 17 carries for 148 yards and five touchdowns in Friday’s 59-6 victory over Lincolnton.

Julian Boddie, Providence: Boddie rushed for 232 yards and three touchdowns in 31-27 upset of Sweet 16 No. 13 Hough.

William Brawley, Morganton Patton: Ran for 252 yards and five touchdowns on 18 carries in 64-29 victory over R-S Central.

Ishod Finger, Metrolina Christian: Ran 21 times for 324 yards, five touchdowns in a 47-27 victory over Union Academy. Finger also had three catches for 76 yards.

Garrett Shrader, Charlotte Christian: Completed 25-of-35 passes for 288 yards and three touchdowns in a 54-51 victory at Myrtle Beach. He ran 15 times for 181 yards and four touchdowns.
