Charlotte Catholic moves to No. 1 in Associated Press statewide media poll

Charlotte Catholic moved to No. 1 in this week’s N.C. Associated Press media poll.

Former No. 1 Greensboro Dudley lost and dropped to fifth in the 3A poll. Catholic moved up one spot. The Cougars are 6-0 and earned 12 of 13 possible first-place votes. Waxhaw’s Marvin Ridge, another unbeaten team, received the other first-place vote.

In the 4A poll, Mallard Creek remains at No. 2, Myers Park at No. 6 and Harding at No. 9.
