↑Cannon girls golf: Finished regular-season unbeaten in a 238-279 win over Providence Day. Amanda Sambach shot a 78 to be medalist at River Run. Cannon begins play in N.C. Independent Schools state championship play Monday and Tuesday at Whispering Pines.
↑Cuthbertson boys, girls cross-country: won Southern Carolina conference tournaments. Cuthbertson’s Sarah Latour won the girls event.
↑Mooresville, Lake Norman cross-country: Mooresville’s boys and Lake Norman’s girls won the I-MECK championship. Hough’s Ben Ebert won the boys event. Hough’s Alexis McDonnell won the girls event.
↑Cox Mill boys, girls cross-country: won South Piedmont 3A conference championship.
Wednesday’s Top Performers
Sidney Bing, Lauralee Hurst, Gaston Day volleyball: 31 assists, nine digs, three kills, three aces for Bing in a 3-0 win over Calvary Day in the first round of the NCISAA playoffs. Hurst had 17 kills, 13 digs, three blocks, two aces. Gaston Day plays Carmel Christian in the second round Thursday.
Justine Cronk, Providence Day: Ran a time of 19:09.51 to win the CISAA girls championship. She won by nearly 30 seconds over sister and teammate Regan Cronk. Covenant Day won the team title over Covenant Day and Providence Day.
Noah Dolhare, Providence Day cross-country: Ran a time of 15:52.11 to win the CISAA conference championship. He won by more than half a minute. Providence Day won the boys team title over Country Day and Charlotte Latin.
