Charlotte Catholic’s Milan Howard among Friday’s top high school football performers

Cody Cater, Providence Day: Completed 25-of-34 passes for 305 yards and four touchdowns in a 48-14 win over High Point Christian in the first round of the NCISAA Division I playoffs.

Milan Howard, Charlotte Catholic: 16 carries, 236 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-21 win at Marvin Ridge in the Southern Carolinas championship game. He averaged nearly 15 yards per carry.

Zach O’Bryan, SouthLake Christian: Caught a pass for 25 yards in a 30-17 win over Rabun Gap in the private school playoffs. He had a sack for a safety and a fumble recovery.

Garrett Shrader, Charlotte Christian: 356 yards total offense in a 52-12 win over Arden Christ School in the first round of the N.C. Independent Schools Division I playoffs. He completed 15-of-24 passes for 289 yards and three touchdowns. He ran 11 times for 67 yards and another score.

Miles Stanton, Carolina Pride: He had four sacks and six tackles in a 32-19 win over Sandhill Titans.
