Big playoff matchups could bring big changes to Sweet 16, but not until next week
There’s virtually no change in this week’s Sweet 16 poll.
Marvin Ridge, which was tied for No. 16 with A.L. Brown last week, was upset by unranked Sun Valley Friday. It was Sun Valley’s first postseason win since 2012 and it knocked the Mavericks out of the poll. The rest of the ranked teams all won and stayed in position.
But with many ranked teams playing each other in playoff games this week – including No. 6 Myers Park visiting No. 7 Butler – there could be big changes to the poll in a week.
